Australia - New Zealand (1)

 When we arrived in Sydney, it was nice to find the ship right downtown and not at the industrial port as was originally planned.

It seems like only a few hours - time enough for some opal shopping - and it was off to Melbourne.

We visited a bird sanctuary just out of town. They had several parrots and cockatoos.

Australian version of a totem pole.

The "old growth" trees were interesting as well as the birds.

 Did not take much time in Hobart. There was a bit of shopping and walking around town before returning to the ship.

The crossing from Tasmania to New Zealand was smooth and uneventful.

  
Our introduction to New Zealand was a trip up Milford Sound - no stop here, but great views.
